

Dr. Wetterneck is an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston - Clear Lake. He has spent his entire career treating and researching obsessive compulsive spectrum conditions. He received his training at two of the nation’s renowned treatment centers for severe OCD and anxiety disorders, the Menninger Clinic and Rogers Memorial Hospital. He has authored over a dozen articles or book chapters on OC-spectrum conditions, including a study on developing and implementing a new treatment protocol for OC-spectrum conditions that was successfully tested in a randomized clinical trial. In addition to his role as Co-Director of Research at the Houston OCD Program, he also leads the Anxiety Research Team at the University of Houston - Clear Lake. He is a member of the OCD Research Collaborative Association (ORCA), a group of national experts on OCD treatment, currently analyzing the largest dataset of residential OCD treatment in the world. His memberships include the Association of Contextual and Behavioral Sciences, the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation, the Anxiety Disorders of Association of America, the American Psychological Association (& the APA division of Clinical Psychology), and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
